Title: Untitled
Year: 2026
Material: Nylon monofilament warp, TPE weft, cotton/linen weft
This handwoven textile sculpture begins as a single continuous cloth and expands into twelve interlacing layers that move through and around each other before returning to a unified form.
Woven entirely on the loom from monofilament nylon warp and TPE weft, the work incorporates a floating blue diamond rendered in cotton/linen tapestry yarn at its core. The piece emerges without armature or post-loom fabrication. Resting on a surface, it invites movement around it, as overlapping layers create shifting transparency, depth, and interior passages that transform with light and perspective. The sculpture captures the tension between expansion and return, solidity and openness, highlighting the interplay of individual layers and the suspended form within.
