Title: Reliquary
Date: 2026
Material: Nylon monofilament warp, TPE weft
Reliquary is a handwoven textile sculpture that begins as a single continuous cloth and expands into twelve interlacing layers that move through and around each other before converging into a circular form.
Woven entirely on the loom from monofilament nylon warp and TPE weft, the work emerges without armature or post-loom fabrication. Resting on a surface, it invites movement around it as the overlapping layers create shifting transparency, depth, and interior passages that transform with light and perspective. Reliquary reflects a sustained tension between expansion and return, fragmentation and unity, capturing the interplay of individual layers and their eventual convergence.
