Title: Vessel
Date: 2026
Material: Nylon monofilament warp, TPE weft
Vessel is a handwoven textile sculpture from series Woven Apertures that begins as a single continuous cloth and expands into twelve intersecting layers that remain open, forming a triangular structure. Incorporating the artist’s ikat dyeing techniques, internal patterns emerge as the work expands after removal from the loom. Woven entirely by hand without armature or post-loom fabrication, the sculpture invites movement around it, where shifting transparency, depth, and interior views transform with light and perspective, reflecting a balance between separation and connection, openness and structure.
